Ewan McNeill, Veterinary Surgeon and joint practice principal

back to Who's Who?

Ewan has worked at Castle Veterinary Centre since 1989, after several years in mixed practice in the Midlands. He qualified from Glasgow in 1984, and obtained his Certificate in Veterinary Radiography in 1987. His main interests are in orthopaedics, rabbit medicine and ophthalmology.

From May 2006 to May 2007 Ewan was President of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons, representing vets who work in practice at various professional conferences and meetings, as well as being called to speak for the profession in an advisory capacity to DEFRA (the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).  His presidential reign of The Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons came to end on the 15th May 2007 at The SPVS Annual Congress in Buxton, Derbyshire, where the ‘chains of office’ were handed over to the new President. He now takes over role as Senior Vice President within the society and clients will now find it much easier to book appointments with him!

He has been married to Brin since 1986, and together they make up one of the two husband and wife partnerships in the practice.
